Great day for the SF Giants!
The Giants had a great day today calling up catcher Buster Posey(number four prospect in MLB). He will do great things for the Giants and is the future of that great orginazation. The Giants also reportedly signed Pat "the bat" Burrell who we all hope can still hit after being a major contributor to the Phillies world series title in 2008. Buster will most likely play first base (he is hitting a whopping .368 in triple A), with him at first Aubrey Huff should primarily play left field and Mark Derosa would be left on the bench. Buster is a catcher but he can also play many if not every other position. If you remember him in college at Florida St. he played all positions in one game and can throw a 90 mph fastball. With Bengie Molina at catcher and a very good one at that Buster should play first until Bengie retires or gets the boot. Buster will back up Bengie as catcher when Bengie needs a day off, but never expect Buster to catch for Tim (the freak) Linceceum or Jonathan Sanchez. I haven't had this much hope for the Giants in a long time.
