What a great year the NBA has been this year and the playoffs have been somewhat predictable, but what happens in this years NBA Finals I think could make it one of the best of all time. If all goes right then the Celtics and Lakers will meet up in the Finals for the second time in three years, and I think will become a very interesting finals. The conference finals that are going on right now have been anything but interesting, they are very predictable and only one or two of the games have actually been exciting. At the beginning of the year I thought we would see a Lebron Kobe matchup, but another year gone by and another year Lebron doesn't have a title. I expect the Lakers to beat the Celtics in seven games thanks to a memorable championship performance by Kobe. The Celtics are red hot, and also have a point guard named Rajon Rondo who is playing like the best point guard in the NBA. The matchups lean towards the Celtics, but unlike two years ago, the Lakers are better now and Kobe well is still Kobe, the best player in the world!
Where is Lebron going? I have about a good a guess as anyone, but in my opinion the New Jersey Nets. First of all the Nets part time owner is Jay-Z who is a good friend of Lebron's and Jay-Z will do everything in his power to get him. The Nets majority owner as of a few weeks ago is the richest man in Russia and has already said that he will throw whatever money necessary at Lebron, and that the Nets will win a championship in 5 or less years. The Nets also offer a good chance at being a successful team, with a very good nucleus anchored by Devin Harris and Brook Lopez. The Knicks on the other hand have David Lee and an aging Tracy Mcgrady.
Whatever happens expect Lebron to be very very wealthy.

ReplyDeleteYES! THIS IS GREAT! KEEP'EM COMIN! I love your NBA vocab usage like "nucleus" hahaha!
Alright now that you have discussed the playoffs and finals I want a breakdown of where you think ALL of the free agents will end up. Kind of a "Mock Free-agency" if you will. If you want you can wait to do this until after the playoffs are over.
