Good to be back!
These past ten days I have been off fishing in Alaska, catching salmon. It is great to be back and writing a blog, and thanks to my temporary replacement Sean Peters, this blog has continued to go strong. A lot has happened in these last few days, involving the baseball trade deadline as well as the NFL season close to kicking off. I was shocked to see when I turned on the TV that Terrell Owens had signed with the Bengals. The two biggest ego's, in the sporting world Chad Ochocinco, and Terrell Owens playing together. Roy Oswalt going from the Astros to the Phillies, and boasting the fighting Phil's pitching staff. The New York Yankees getting even better as if they needed to, by trading for all star first baseman Lance Berkman. The first place Padres acquiring Miguel Tejada, and the best trade so far, the Texas Rangers trading for Jorge Cantu, who will start immediately at first base. Expect the White Sox, Rays and Giants to make a big push in trying to acquire Adam Dunn, but don't expect Prince Fielder to be traded. The NBA free agency is wrapping up and when looking at the additions and losses, there are a few teams that catch my eye. Shaq remains unsigned, as well as a few other solid role players and where will Chris Paul end up? I will be discussing these topics in my next blog.
