'Bama falls

Alabama, the consensus number one team in the nation and the national champions, lost on Saturday. They lost to a very good South Carolina team, coached by a great Steve Spurrier. Alabama has a phenomenal defense, solid qb and ridiculous running game, but somehow lost. Ohio State will now take over the number one spot, followed closely by Oregon and Boise State. If both of these teams finish undefeated they will most likely play in the national championship. Michigan lost as well to a for real undefeated Michigan State team. LSU, again squeaked by, this time against Florida. So if Boise State and TCU both win out who is ranked higher?
The Yankees were the first team to advance to the championship series as they swept the Twins. Next should be the Phillies, Giants then either Rays or Rangers take your pick. The Yankkes are looking very good right now and it will be very tough to beat them. The Giants won in another nail biter today, as that series has turned out to be the most exciting. I am excited to see what the playoffs have in store for us.
