Not even the experts could call the winner of the world series, the unlikely Giants. The Giants are not the team with the most talent in the MLB, they were just the team that was at the top of their game when it really matters. The Padres had to lose for the Giants to make the playoffs and they did, 10 straight. The Braves had to make four errors in a game, and they did. The Phillies had to play their worst baseball of the year, and they did. Cliff Lee had to have his worst career post season start of the year, and he did. Everything fell into place just right for the Giants to win. SF is not an elite power, they don't have any superstars or all star hitters, but they are the champions. This is a great story because soon the professional sports world may be ruled by elite powerhouses dominating every year. In a few years the NBA will have a couple "dream teams", leaving the mediocre teams wanting help. The Heat started a new era, of stacking a team. If they win a championship, other teams will follow. Not only in basketball. This is a very proud moment for all SF Giants fans and congratulations Giants.
Randy Moss was waived by the Minnesota Vikings today. No one knows exactly why, but it is an interesting move. Where he will end up will be the next question. He may have attitude problems, but he has lots of talent.
GIANTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
