World Cup 2010

All I have to say about th World Cup this year is who cares? I mean honestly it is somewhat exciting watching the US play. There have been bright moments like Portugal scoring seven goals! The US tying England as well as US tying the Slovenian's which the US should have won. Soccer is a very boring sport, and you add that to the fact that you can't hear anything with the hundred thousand horns going off! I don't understand how people can watch a 90 minute match and the score ending a 0 to 0 draw. That is so boring. Soccer is a sport of passing and missed opportunities. How many times do you actually see the ball go into the goal in a 90 minute match? maybe 1 or if your lucky 2 times. The only reason why Americans watch the World Cup is because it is a chance to watch our country battle other countries, and defend and rep our home soil. If it was any other sport than so many more people would be interested in this event. How about basketball? If this event was held during the same summer as the Olympics then NO ONE would watch or care about this stupid event!
