The best defensive player of our generation

A safety for the Colts, ruthless, fearless, beast, agile, fast. Who is this? The best defensive player of our generation, Bob Sanders. What a player, this man is fearless. In one of his lone healthy seasons Sanders won the defensive MVP award, and deservedly so. Anyone can argue that he would have won it any other year, but couldn't because he got hurt. This year was supposed to be a comeback year for the hard hitter, but instead he is now out for the year with a torn muscle in his arm. He won his MVP award in the 2007 season, and was a no brainer to win that year. He has spent his whole career with the Colts, and although he is only 29, he has only played two whole seasons and has been in the league for seven years. He was taken in the second round by the Colts, out of Iowa. He would have been selected a lot earlier, had he been taller because he was a beast in college. He hits as hard as everyone and is only 5'8! He lights up receivers and running backs all game long, and is always in on the play. Last year when coming back from an injury, on his first tackle of his season, he cracked a receiver and broke his arm. This is not something you would expect out of a 5'8 206 pound monster. He hits as hard, if not harder than any player in the league and has an eye for where the ball is at all time. Every time he is on the field and healthy, the Colts defense gets a major upgrade. He is not guaranteed out for the year, but it will be a long time. It is truly an honor to be able to watch him play on Sundays, and I hope he gets healthy soon.
