NFL players cut

Today on Saturday, September fourth many NFL players were cut. Two being household names. T.J. Houshmenzadeh was cut by the Seahawks. T.J. was a very solid receiver with the Bengals, playing alongside Chad Ochocinco, but that all changed when he signed with the Seahawks. He never fit in well with this team and his stats continued to fall. He will strive in an offense with a good qb and where he can be a #2 receiver. I expect him to sign with a team soon. Possibly the Vikings or Redskins. The other big name cut today was Matt Leinart. We all remember him for his glory days at USC when he won heisman and played with Reggie Bush. He has never been good since coming into the NFL. This was supposed to be his breakout year, because Kurt Warner retired and he was going to start, but now he isn't even on that team. The Cardinals will be going with Derek Anderson the former Browns Qb. Like T.J. I expect Matt to picked up very quickly by maybe the Giants or Seahawks.
The Padres are really struggling, but its fine. They have lost 9 straight games and are still winning their division by 2.5 games. The Giants needed to capitalize on the Padres losing streak, but have only caught up 3 games. The Padres better get their act together if they want to make the playoffs, and need to start hitting.
