The little guys

Tom Brady, an elite quarterback already with three super bowl titles in only his tenth year in the league. He is the favorite to win the MVP this season and is leading the Patriots to an NFL best 11-2. He doesn't have any flashy, record setting or even MVP caliber receivers, so how does he play so well? He has five weapons that he uses all over the field. All five of these weapons, under six feet. The tallest of the fab five at 5'11&3/4 is starting running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis (Yes, that is his name, imagine him with his middle name)a powerful, long haired, touchdown machine. He is known for two things his name and his long hair. But one thing people are starting to realize is his power running style. Also at 5'11 is starting receiver Julian Edelman. A young, dual threat play maker. He is the Pats third wide receiver who can catch a long bomb, short passes and even return kicks. In his sophomore season, the Eminem look alike has moved his way up the depth chart of Brady's receivers, he makes the most of every play and gives 100%, something former Pats wide receiver Randy Moss rarely did. Now we get to the ferocious, play making and elusive 3. Deion Branch, Danny Woodhead and Wes Welker. Branch is 5'10 and already a 2-time Super Bowl champ. He helped the Pats get to and win two super bowls, and is a huge reason they won. When Moss got traded, immediately the Pats traded for Deion Branch. They got him as an old washed up receiver on the Seahawks, or so people thought. He gelled right away with the Patriots new offense and is a favorite target of Tom Brady. Danny Woodhead, a two time division 2 player of the year. A running back released from the Jets earlier this year. At only 5'7 people believed he was too small to make a difference. They were wrong, he is a huge part of New England's offense, whether it's catching a pass or running, he has defined this new look offense. The last of the bunch is the most well known, 5'9 receiver and pro bowler We Welker. Welker was a third string receiver in Miami, before coming to New England. He has led the NFL in receptions the last 3 years and is becoming an elite receiver. More than any other team, the Patriots understand the meaning of less is more.

  1. Top ten moments of PMP street ball. (no technical fouls this time)
    1. Spencer dashing for the ball and trips and falls. The knee once so fresh was loaded in blood and his number one worry was “oh no it got on my garments!” That is pre missionary on a mission.
    2. Energy drink promoters. Please don’t try and promote us a drink that sponsors the PHOENIX SUNS. It gets worse the guy that was selling made the best quote “man I am not even smart I failed all my classes last semester.” Great influence just precious.
    3. Darby Clutch!!! Enough to say after a game of PIG using just P goes on for days!
    4. Hookshot over Jared to beat the KOD. Style points and an odor of Jared or should I say the new Macklemore.
    5. Dress code. Blake in jeans? Color changing Nikes? Sweatshirt with stripes? What is this an episode of Jailbreak? One word P.A.T.H.E.T.I.C
    6. Half court marks the spot. Keegan Darby with a 5-0 shot streak. I looked up and I thought I honestly saw Mr. Stephen Curry. I was ready to change my Bollywood shirt to Got Kod?
    7. Dribbling and an intentional lazy turnover. Do I need to name a name or do we all know who dribbled and was tired and just gave up.
    8. 100% from the free throw line. PJ please you need to stop I am sure I saw some scouts from Gonzaga trying to find a real player to get them away from upsets.
    9. Josh Barker’s run for the ball on the grass and slipping. How he didn’t fall I have no idea but it must be from all that hip hop practice.
    10. The game finishing assist. Blake’s through the legs pass over to PJ with a fade from half court. The tension in the air and a swish to fill our ears and the PJ, Blake and Josh Barker Squad win all 3. Ladies and gentlemen a day of pure style, beauty and hand behind the head lay ups.
