Crazy Day in March Madness
Another day in March, another crazy day. It was no surprise that their would be upsets in the tournament's first day, but not this many. Today proved that seedings don't mean anything when filling out a bracket, only the match ups. Morehead State isn't necessarily a better team then Louisville, they just matched up well because of their size. We have seen a lot of quality teams lose today. Louisville, Vanderbilt, St. Johns, Michigan State and now Missouri. These are all teams that I had winning in my bracket(with the exception of St. Johns) and I'm sure a lot of you did too. It has been a rough day for march madness enthusiasts like myself who's pride and joy go into filling out their bracket. Spending hours watching college basketball, researching the teams, crossing out and changing your picks and for a day like today to ruin it well...that why it's called March Madness. Honestly it wasn't as big a shock that Louisville or Vandy lost as people think. We knew Morehead State was a good team and that they had the best rebounder in the nation in Kenneth Faried and deadly outside shooters, but we expected more out of Louisville. They were a team that beat Notre Dame a few days before this upset and made the Big East finals. Vandy is well just Vandy. They are always a solid team during the regular season, but as soon as March comes around, they choke. Vandy has all the talent to become an elite team, they just always choke, like last year they got upset in the first round as well. We have plenty of more madness to go and we can only wait to see what's in store for tomorrow...
