NBA Draft 2011 recap
The 2011 NBA Draft was a very interesting drat with a few surprises. The Cavaliers taking Tristian Thompson with the fourth pick was a surprise and huge reach. The Jazz got two very good players in Enes Kanter and Alec Burks. Kanter will go down as one of the better players in this draft. A lot of teams are convinced Derrick Williams should have been taken first and many believe he will be the best player in this draft. One of those believers are the Los Angeles Lakers who offered Lamar Odom for the number 2 pick so they could take Williams. In my opinion the Timberwolves should have taken Enes Kanter because they are already loaded at the 4 spot. The Cavs made a bad pick at number 4 taking Tristian Thompson, and instead should have taken Jan Vesely. The Wizards had by far the best draft, taking Vesely, a 6'11 small forward with incredible explosiveness and will have great chemistry playing with John Wall. Also they added Small Forward Chris Singleton, the best wing defender in this draft. They were also able to select former Butler Point Guard, Shelvin Mack. Mack is a shooting point guard and will be a very good backup to John Wall. The Warriors also got a great player in Klay Thompson and a player with tons of upside in Jeremy Tyler, a former number 1 rated high school player in the nation. The Kings also had a very solid draft with selecting Jimmer, Tyler Honeycutt and my favorite player in this draft Isiah Thomas, a little guy with a huge heart.
