College football 2011-12
In the words of the great Jay-Z-- "I think I have to send you a reminder". College football has started, yeaaa boiiiii! We are coming off a great year in which Auburn and their spectacular, elusive quarterback rolled over Oregon and their high powered offense in the National Championship. This year, unlike many years in the past, their are no elite teams. Oklahoma who is the unanimous number one ranked team, doesn't even impress me very much. They are a beatable team if you just attack their kryptonite, which is their defense. Alabama, the number 2 team could very likely win the National Championship this year with their insane defense and very balanced offense led by running back Trent Richardson. I don't expect much out of Oregon, as they already lost to LSU and they still have to play Stanford and the incredibly underrated team of USC. LSU will have their problems as well. Three teams that really impress me are Stanford, Texas A&M and my favorite, Oklahoma State. Stanford has the heisman favorite and future superstar QB in Andrew Luck. Texas A&M isn't a flashy team but is incredibly balanced. My personal favorite team this year that will be incredibly exciting to watch is Oklahoma State. Their offense may set records this year, its that explosive. Their passing game is led by a great QB Brandon Weeden and the best receiver and offense player in the country in Justin Blackmon, the future Randy Moss. This season should be a lot of fun and it will be interesting to see what plays out.
