So pumped!

Is anyone else pumped for the new college basketball season like I am? I can't wait! This is going to be an unbelievable year and the best of the decade for a few reasons. There will be no NBA this season and if there is, it will be a shortened season but what this guarantees is a more exciting college basketball season. There will be tons more college games on tv and this means a more talked about college basketball year, which they deserve. All of you that know me, know I am a HUGE sports fanatic and at times that is all I care about. Because of this I constantly am either watching ESPN or on yahoo sports or ESPN.com, and already they are talking more and more about the madness that is college basketball, the best college sport in the world. Another huge reason that makes this year very intriguing is all the returning players. Because of the possibility of the lockout many great young players returned to school which makes for a very bad draft as we witnessed last year, but an even better college basketball season next year. This is my last year in high school or as many say the last year I can focus most of my attention on sports before I have to "get my life together" and basketball is my favorite sport so because of the lockout, I have never been more excited for college basketball as this. No doubt March is the best time of the year, for one reason...March Madness. I get goosebumps just thinking about that time of year. When you look at the top teams in college basketball this year, they are all so stacked. North Carolina has 4 really really good college players that will be top 20 picks. Duke has the best guards in the nation and possibly in the past decade. Connecticut is even more talented this year then last year when they won it all and they come in ranked 4, which shows the talent this year. My personal favorite and national title pick this year is UK, Kentucky is stacked. They may be young for the most part, but this is the most experienced team John Calipari has coached at Kentucky and the most talented. They have who I think is the best player in the nation, the freshman Anthony Davis. He is a 6'11 well he can play anything. He played point guard until his junior year, when he grew 8 inches that summer. He is listed as a center but he can dribble, shoot, pass, rebound, block shots, score...you get the point, he can do anything. Davis, Terrence Jones(all american), Doron Lamb, Michael Gilchrist, Darius Miller, Marquis Teague and the list goes on and on. The season will continue to get more and more exciting as it goes along and I will continue to write about college basketball.
