MVP(most valuable position)

Peyton Manning we can now clearly say is the most valuable player in football. With Manning the Colts are a top 5 team in the league, without him they are one of the three worst teams. They are still winless and continue to get blown out every game. There is far too much talent on this Colts team to be wasted like that. They have 3 really good receivers and arguably the best tight end in the league. Reggie Wayne is a future hall of famer, Pierre Garcon is a top 15 receiver in the league and Collie is a top 25 receiver in the NFL. This shows the importance of having a great quarterback, something the 49er's have yet to learn which is why they won't win a super bowl any time soon. Without a great quarterback, there is no chance of winning a super bowl. Think of the past super bowl winners, which of those teams haven't had a really good quarterback? The answer is none, they all have had at least a top 10 quarterback in the league. Then there are teams like the 49er's who think they can defy the odds and win a super bowl without a good quarterback...it can't and won't happen. I wouldn't even consider Alex Smith a decent quarterback, he is garbage! He is one of the 5 worst quarterbacks in the league and honestly there are a few backups that I would want playing over him. But that's alright the 49er's and their coach who doesn't know how to control himself after a win will stick with Alex Smith and maybe make the playoffs but won't get past the first round. Quarterback is the most important position in any professional sport and that is clearly evident when you look at the Colts situation. I could talk all day about how bad Alex Smith is because well...he is terrible! The Raiders made a very interesting move in acquiring Carson Palmer. It is a debateable trade when you look at what the Raiders gave up to get him. Two first round picks. That seems like a lot but if you really think about it, those are picks most likely in the 20's and who would the Raiders draft with those picks anyways? My guess is another fast player. If the Raiders do make the playoffs thanks to Carson Palmer then this trade will have turned out great. Can you imagine Raider fans come playoff time? Now that's scary.
