Second Half

Halfway through the baseball season and there are many surprises and disappointments. Joey Votto was a no name before the season and now is a household name and favorite for MVP. How about Ubaldo Jimenez having a career and record breaking year. Josh Hamilton came back and is another favorite for MVP. The Texas Rangers a HUGE surprise and are leading their tough division. The Reds are in first place and just keep hitting, like the Rangers. The NL West again looks like a very very tough division as four of the five teams are still in contention, and close together. My division predictions are as follows in order of first place team to last place:

AL West: Angels, Rangers, A's, Mariners

AL Central: Twins, White Sox, Tigers, Indians, Royals

AL East: Yankees, Red Sox (win wild card), Rays, Blue Jays, Orioles

NL West: Dodgers, Padres, Giants, Rockies, Diamondbacks

NL Central: Cardinals, Reds, Brewers, Cubs, Astros, Pirates

NL East: Phillies, Braves (win wild card), Mets, Marlins, Nationals

This week I have had the privilege of attending the American Century Golf Tournament in Lake Tahoe. It is a great tournament for the fans. There are names such as Jordan, Rice, Romo, Jerome Bettis, Aikman, Elway, and Barkley. It is an easy place to get signatures, this year I have already tallied up 66 signatures so far out of two days. There is another great part of the tournament this year. I was standing on the 14th green and was aware that Kyle Boller the Raiders quarterback was coming. I was also aware that Boller is married to Miss. California Carrie PreJean. I looked in the distance and saw blonde a young, blonde haired woman and thought that must be Carrie! I rushed over to her, and because no one else knew who she was, she took pictures with me and autographed. As cool as the great athletes autographs were the picture with Carrie Miss. California was the best part!
