NBA Finals...Less Goooo!
Could be better, but this is what it is. Heat vs. Thunder. Lebron vs. Durant. Powerhouse vs. Upstart. Whatever you want to call this match up, it is what we have for the 2012 NBA Finals. Many think this is a so called "dream matchup" and I agree with that on one end of the spectrum, with the Heat coming out of the East but the Thunder out of the West, its too early! The Thunder will have their time, no one can argue that. We are seeing the start of a new dynasty that if kept the same could go down as one of the best teams ever in a decade. I truly believe that because of their youth, athleticism and home support. It is now their time to represent the West. If you remember a few months ago I said it won't be whether or not the Heat win a championship but rather how many they win in a row. This means year after year we will see the Heat come out of the East. Especially with Derrick Rose's paper ma-shay MCl and knees, the rest home that the Celtics have turned into and the lack of star power on the Sixers and Hawks. So, don't be surprised if this is the first of many Thunder-Heat Finals. This year though, my prediction is Heat over Thunder in 6.
The Celtics have the second best point guard in the NBA right now(Rose)in Rajon Rondo. He is a punk and full of himself but to be honest...who cares? That just makes him more self disciplined and motivated. Remember when the C's were trying to trade him? I don't even know why that crossed Danny Ainge's mind. He is the future of the Boston Celtics and virtually the only good player that doesn't have to check himself into Boston's nearest old folks home after a home game. What Boston needs to do is get rid of Ray Ray, try and see what you can get for KG, and obviously keep Pierce. Allen and Garnett are both free agents, so dump Ray Allen's contract, sign Garnett for 1-2 years, dump Jeff Green's contract(no offense, you do have heart problems). Then go out, sign a legit young wing player in free agency, and draft depth up front. It aint that hard Boston, it really isn't.
Dear NBA GM's, you really shouldn't overlook Perry Jones III in this upcoming draft. He is a stud basketball player. Perry is long, raw, athletic and has already been compared to the likes of Kevin Durant and THE Tracy "T-Mac" Mcgrady. I know it has been said that Peery isn't disciplined and doesn't try or work hard enough, but honestly who does in college now a days? He will be fine in the pro's because he will obviously work hard, he knows he has to in order to get paid. Perry is 6'10 and has the wingspan of a terodacty. Perry will excel in the pros and aside of Anthony Davis, no one has nearly as much upside as this kid.
